Lawrence Feldman was recently promoted to Airports' Business ManagerLawrence Feldman graduated from San Jose State in 1971. After spending two winters skiing in Aspen, Colorado and South Lake Tahoe followed by two months in Europe, he returned to San Jose and moved in with an old roommate. The roommate was working for a new airline named Air California and dating many of the air carrier's Newport Beach based flight attendants. It was then that Mr. Feldman saw the wisdom of an aviation career. He went to work for AirCal and spent 13 years there until American Airlines bought the regional airline in 1987. For the next three years Larry was American's Manager of Ramp, Freight, and Automotive services at their West Coast Hub in San Jose. Decorum prevents an explanation of that experience. Salvation came in 1991 in the form of Santa Clara County Airports. Larry has been with the County's Airports ever since and currently works at Reid-Hillview Airport where he is Airports' Business Manager. Mr. Feldman has been married for 25 years to his wife Miriam, the Bay Area's most enthusiastic Giant's fan. He has a 21 year old daughter, Molly, attending the University of California at Santa Barbara, and a 19 year old son, Daniel, at the University of Oregon. Once both kids graduate, assuming any money is left, Larry plans to retire and move to Cabo San Lucas where he and Miriam will spend the rest of their days drinking margaritas, playing golf and fishing. (Miriam, unaware of this plan, believes they will retire in Oregon.) Our advice to Larry is to buy a large umbrella.
